Alleva also said the project will allow LSU to open up about 1,500 seats in the lower bowl of Tiger Stadium for LSU fans, moving visiting fans to the upper deck.
It is about time, I am so glad to see this quote because for too long, LSU has been too generous to the fans of our opponents. LINK

Finally. Absolutely no reason to let opponents to sit on the field while they spread us out across the top deck of their stadium.

This statement is vague. Which visitors are being moved? Those in the SEZ or those along the east sideline?

If the SEZ, are there typically only 1500 visitors in the lower SEZ? In other words, are all of the SEZ visitors being moved, or only a portion? Based exclusively on my personal observations, it appears that far more than 1500 visitors sit in the east corner of the SEZ. In my opinion, all of those fans should be moved elsewhere.

I think (but could certainly be wrong) that the SEC office only lets you move a certain amount of fans each year, thus we still get some lower at Ala etc. As far as OOC teams think it is different, but again not sure

It's absolutely mind boggling why we would give opposing teams legit field seats... Let their ears pop and bring out the binoculars!!!

It's only a portion, but still it's better than having all of them fricks there.

Most schools in the SEC only give a section or part of one for the visitors in the lower area. It is required by the SEC. Most schools put their band and players/coaches family and important school officials in these seats. At Georgia they gave us a part of one section in the corner of the endzone in 2005. The rest of us were herded up to the 3rd deck in the upper reaches of space. We need to give the visitors 1 small section in the corner of the South endzone and spread the rest through out the stadium in the upper decks.

Same thing happened to me at Florida.

Do unto others.

I wonder if the league could get involved and require each school to offer a set percentage of quality seats. Heck, they may already do this.

Visiting fans should have an opportunity to get decent seats at face value. I only say this because I am getting tired of being stuck in crap seats at away games too.
