Have I got a dog for you!

One of my colleagues cannot drive past a stray dog and picked this one up about a month ago. She has 5 dogs at home and could not keep another one so I agreed to foster the guy until she could find a home for him. Well, it has been nearly 6 weeks and no luck so I am looking to the OB as a last resort. He was picked up on the side of LA71 near US190 and we have him at our home in BR.

He is about 2 years old, a lab/hound mix, really friendly, gets along with other dogs and is housebroken. I have taken him to the vet and he has received all his shots and is chipped. He has a minor case of heartworms, but is on treatment and should be just fine. I am taking him in to be neutered this week. He will make someone a great companion and would be the perfect farm dog. We already have two dogs and cannot keep him much longer, so we may need to take him to the pound, which is something we hope to avoid (especially after investing so much at the vet).
