Sorry cant link I'm on my phone.

Pretty ridiculous IMO. Are they basically saying that if you don't win the league every year they are going to make a change? Yeah I know the CL record but damn this guy did a good job there and right as there is some rare instability with your neighbors you're not going to take advantage of that and throw your whole organization into uncertainty as well?

They have too much money invested not to win at least one trophy.

I mean, this is from their official statement:

quote:

Despite everyone’s best efforts, the Club has failed to achieve any of its stated targets this year, with the exception of qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League. This, combined with an identified need to develop a holistic approach to all aspects of football at the Club, has meant that the decision has been taken to find a new manager for the 2013/14 season and beyond.

Sounds like they would have been okay with the top two finish. The awful UCL campaign and FAC upset did him in, IMO.

Crazy that the 3 best teams in England will have new managers next season. Should be fun.

the fact he was bitching saying he needs more money to buy more players proves the club is a joke

What makes him a terrorist besides the fact he's from the Middle East?

I also think they based this off of growth. As a fan, I want to see my team improve year after year. Not necessarily in accomplishments and trophies, but in team consistency and cohesiveness. I feel like it is pretty safe to say City took a step back in almost every area.

More than likely, he is being fired purely because of results, and that is malarkey. But at the same time, I have a hard time disagreeing with the decisions based off of my personal expectations and standards.

city needs a long look in the mirror of who they are as a club.

You ant United,Liverpool,Chelsea,Arsenal

keep throwing money at it and keep failing.

They just need to stop throwing money at every problem they run into. The new youth system/facilities they have built are awesome. They just need to have a bit more integrity as a club. Otherwise the money will eventually dry up and the club will disappear along with it.
