I know it's not the best, but I was just comparing production vs. athleticism. I just picked the first productive SF who wasn't the most athletic I could think of. The main point I'm making is that going for athleticism over production doesn't work once players are in the NBA unless they show extreme promise. I don't see any promise in Deandre being any better than he is now.

Deandre Jordan is an overpaid loser

While I would love to get Bledsoe and get rid of Gordon, in no way am I ok with any deal that brings DeAndre Jordan to this team.

And he is a "Pelicants" favorite how? I'm sorry, but I don't think anyone on this board overvalues Lopez. We're all pretty much in agreement that he's a rotation big.

Exactly. Athleticism without skill is only so valuable. Deandre Jordan is looking like Stromile Swift, although Swift had more beast games.

I would love to get Bledsoe and move Rivers to shooting guard. Lopez I think is a steal at his price but maybe get Jordan and trade him for some picks... I just do not like Jordan but at least he is healthy!

It's not Lopez' on-court production that's worth a lot, IMHO. It's that he gets that kind of production on a $5m a season non-guaranteed deal.

When you've got guys like Kwame Brown making $8-10m a season, a guy doing that at a lower price and with no guaranteed money left means you can be discriminating when it comes to his replacement.

Seriously doubt this will happen, as his contract is crap.

The Warriors are loving that the Clip Show matched his deal, considering how the Bogut trade has worked out for them.

Yes, Jordan is immature and overpaid. But if you don't trust Gordon (not saying that I don't), this is a reasonable deal. It's the Bledsoe extension that would worry me more.

Here is Jordan/Chandler comparison through 5 years

LINK

They are, by the numbers, the same player (or Jordan with a slight edge) outside of Jordan's woeful FT%. Not saying Jordan ever comes close to that level, but big men take time. No one was anticipating Chandler to become who he is.

I agree with those that said he isn't a Monty/Dell player. But I'd trust this Pelicans organization to get more out of him than LAC and VDN have. If it doesn't work out, he's an expiring next year.

We can prob get Bledsoe without having to give up Gordon, so if all I'm doing is trying to dump Gordon, then I'd look to bring in someone other than Deandre Jordan.

I just do not like the idea of acquiring Bledsoe and having to dish out big money then take on Jordan's contract. Lets see how this one plays out!

What's the value in trading for Gordon when they already have Jamal Crawford?

Jamal Crawford is the same type of scorer with the only difference being that he can actually stay healthy through a season as opposed to Gordon.

Clips need a SF, not a SG

We are already dishing out huge money on a guy who doesn't want to be here and who is never on the court to begin with. So it goes both ways really.

I understand that but now you have two players getting big money rather than one because Lopez to me is a steal with his contract. What do you all think Bledsoe's contract will be???

Jordan's contract will be up by the time you have to pay up for Bledsoe.

Who would be shopping for Gordon and what would we have to take back?

I like the idea of sending him out but the kinds of contracts teams would want to send back, like Carlos Boozer or Andrea Bargnani, are even worse than Jordan.

Draft oladipo. Trade gordon to clippers and get their first round pick. He is a cancer to their team and their pick gives us marcus smart. Our pick then gives us jabari parker. We flip bledsoe for pek = seks on the pelican point.

Depends if we extend him before the season or if he makes it to being an RFA.

If we extend it before the season, I'm thinking $8-9m.

If he hits RFA status, I'm thinking $10-12m because someone with a ton of cap space like Dallas will hope to either get him or frick us cap-wise.

That's a long shot lol. You are basically saying we would have another top 5 pick and the Clips would have a top 8 pick next year lol.
