Could media be turning on Obama?

I'm not used to seeing this kind of stuff from these places:
New Yorker shits on the administration about Benghazi
quote:

It’s a cliché, of course, but it really is true: in Washington, every scandal has a crime and a coverup. The ongoing debate about the attack on the United States facility in Benghazi where four Americans were killed, and the Obama Administration’s response to it, is no exception. For a long time, it seemed like the idea of a coverup was just a Republican obsession. But now there is something to it..
From the very beginning of the editing process, the talking points contained the erroneous assertion that the attack was “spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved.” That’s an important fact, because the right has always criticized the Administration based on the suggestion that the C.I.A. and the State Department, contrary to what they said, knew that the attack was not spontaneous and not an outgrowth of a demonstration. But everything else about the changes that were made is problematic. The initial draft revealed by Karl mentions “at least five other attacks against foreign interests in Benghazi” before the one in which four Americans were killed. That’s not in the final version. Nor is this: “[W]e do know that Islamic extremists with ties to al-Qa’ida participated in the attack.” That was replaced by the more tepid “There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.”

Maureen Dowd shits on administration about Benghazi
quote:

In the midst of a re-election campaign, Obama aides wanted to promote the mythology that the president who killed Osama was vanquishing terror. So they deemed it problematic to mention any possible Qaeda involvement in the Benghazi attack.

Looking ahead to 2016, Hillaryland needed to shore up the mythology that Clinton was a stellar secretary of state. Prepared talking points about the attack included mentions of Al Qaeda and Ansar al-Sharia, a Libyan militant group, but the State Department got those references struck. Foggy Bottom’s spokeswoman, Victoria Nuland, a former Cheney aide, quashed a we-told-you-so paragraph written by the C.I.A. that said the spy agency had “produced numerous pieces on the threat of extremists linked to Al Qaeda in Benghazi and eastern Libya,” and had warned about five other attacks “against foreign interests in Benghazi by unidentified assailants, including the June attack against the British ambassador’s convoy.”

Joe Klein from Time also pops a squat
quote:

there have been an awful lot of political hacks populating the mid-reaches of this Administration. In the Obama instance, these have shown an anachronistic, pre-Clinton liberal bias when it comes to the rules and regulations governing many of our safety net programs, like social security disability. And now they have violated one of the more sacred rules of our democracy: you do not use the tax code to punish your opponents.

Yet again, we have an example of Democrats simply not managing the government properly and with discipline. This is just poisonous at a time of kepticism about the efficacy of government. And the President should know this: the absence of scandal is not the presence of competence. His unwillingness to concentrate–and I mean concentrate obsessively–on making sure that government is managed efficiently will be part of his legacy.

It's probably a fleeting moment.

I wouldn't get carried away.

You mean the old "it's Bush's fault" or " racist" lines arnt working? This is now getting very big and I predict someone will have to take the fall. And we all know Obama will never admit his guilt in this.

I've said it before.

The media bit it's tongue to get Obama reelected. Now that they're boy is back in office they're gonna go after the story. It's too much of a ratings boom and too much of a possible career maker for many journalists.

They're not worried about damaging Clinton cause she never had a real shot at 2016 anyway and it has nothing to do with Benghazi. She'll be almost 70 by then, wouldn't get near the women vote that people think, and looks like an OT -10000000000.

They also know that there is no real chance at an impeachment. It would be portrayed as a witch hunt by the R's for political gain. Obama is a lame duck anyway. he R's control the House and the Senate can't pass any of his initiatives anyway. Besides, they got the ACA. Something the left has been pawing over for 20 years.

The media will soon discover a "rising star" in the Democratic party that they can cock gobble for a year or two prior to 2016. Just because they are going after this story now doesn't mean they're gonna stop treating the Republican party the way they always have.

Everyone here needs to stop getting their hopes up.

The Sunday morning shows are unreal. Never thought I'd see this administration hammered by the mainstream media like this...

This is the "Trial by Fire- Street Cred Period" of The Dear Leader's Realm. They will condemn him harshly. But VERY briefly. And then they will remind their audience who the real bad guys are, and how this just demonstrates the Dear Leader's humanity, and how maybe our expectations were just too high.

The State Media Complex understands that by criticizing now, they can claim LATER that they are credible and motivated by journalistic integrity. And that integrity will lead them back to defending the FORWARD-motion of this most-excellent and historic administration.

Could the media be focusing on Benghazi with the approval of the administration knowing it won't lead to anything and he can blame Republicans for all his other failures due to having to deal with trumped up charges concerning Benghazi?

From Bush to Benghazi, it was never Obama's fault, always the R's.

That'd be my move

Probably a half hearted attempt to give the apprearance of being unbiased in the MSM so as to try and silence their critics. No worries. They'll be back on the reservation singing Obama's tune before you know it. This won't last long.

No. It's just obvious that this is a time where they can put out a perfunctory piece that gives the appearance of objectivity. Two or three negative pieces are lost like a fart in a tornado given all the slavish praise they've heaped on President Do Nothing Difficult.
