I can't read the whole War Room today on TigerBait, but it kind of paints a more clear, and frightening, image as to part of the reason D'haquille de-committed from the cliff notes I've read. If Will is true with what he is saying, I can't really blame him for his decision

edit: It was actually Will Weathers that reported it

I read some cliff notes on another site, and I agree.

Also, Scike absolutely can't post that if he's not 100% sure of the validity, right? Jerry Rice? Right?

Agreed, if that story is true he needs to do what is in his long term best interest. That may not include being at LSU. Odd story.

Cliff notes?

ETA - Never mind.. just read some of it. Better to just keep this stuff off the free sites as long as possible.

Dural or Peterson will be in the starting rotation this year

Dural will def be 1 of the top 4 WRs this season. Peterson wont. A lot of people think just because hes PP brother that he is a stud and dont know much about the kid. Truth is, hes not near the same level as PP. Not even close. His best years in football was his freshman and sophomore year. After that, he regressed each year. I dont see him getting that much PT for a while. Diarse will play before he does.

At the under armour all american week, he got the most disappointed award. Didnt catch well, not a good route runner, and wasnt there mentally. They even questioned his work ethic for the entire week. During spring, the coaches stayed on him because he would take too long to get his reps in and was kinda lagging behind and taking his time. Not off to a good start.

A lot of people have way too high expectations for him because they hear we got PPs brother without knowing much about the kid.

Our 2 starting WRs were 5'11 and 6'0 in 2012 with Boone as the occasional starter. We needed a big guy, tall receiver that we could push the ball downfield with. In 2014 we would have Dural, Peterson, Spears, Blacknall, and Dupre and Upchurch who are all "at least" 6'2. We would also have Smith and Washington at TE so what is the point of wasting a spot on a one year player when you have legit 3 year talents right in your face

This is exactly my point. with tight numbers and so much WR talent, I'd rather take another freshman that we know will be here for at least 3 years.

Bottom line is if a wide receiver has an offer he better commit early if he wants to come to LSU.

The numbers are tight every year.

We a record amount of guy leave early and were still in a bind and may not even be able to sign a full 25 with the amount of guys still on the roster after spring ball.

I dont think Dhaquille only being here for one year matters that much. Wouldnt it be nice to have another schollie coming off the books next year? If were going to be using a spot, might as well make it an impact guy....who also helps with the numbers game sooner than later
