Yea he's a 1 year player who shouldn't affect any of the high school recruits. Talent wise he always reminded me of Dez Bryant, similar in size and unstoppable on those jump balls.

Wasnt this just 1 coaches opinion? and I think they are expecting him to show out this summer to keep the offer

The staff is being shy with offers, even more so with accepting commitments.

Les made damn sure he liked what he saw before accepting his pledge

Do you think there is a chance he moves to S?

Enthusiasm is a great thing.

Don't ruin it by going overboard.

I think the JC coaches comments had their intended effect. LSU probably thought they could focus on other prospects and swoop in at the last minute if everything worked out on their end. When it became clear that Williams was going to be playing in the SEC, I knew the staff would have to offer. It's too big of a risk to allow a talent like that to go to a division rival.

Why does no one discuss the possibility if Noil playing S?

I believe it was said the Noil has made it vehemently clear that he wants to play WR

Looks like we may have a year like aTm did last year when they took all those WRs...except the boys coming to play for the Tigers are quality and quantity...

Some comments from Dhaquille, (Was in the comments section of a 247 article, don't know the rules here)

"Absolutely, I’m done with all the recruiting stuff,” Williams said. “LSU is where I’ve always wanted to be, and now that I’m committed, there’s no reason to look at anything else. I just can’t wait to get to Baton Rouge and start working out with my team.”

D'haquille along with Dural, Noil, Brazil, Blacknell, Quinn, Dupre, Smith and Washington, will make Jennings a RSFR heisman candidate. Also having to lean on Fournette in the backfield will make LSU not only an explosive offense, but a national champion.

Jennings has a better chance of becoming a Heisman candidate than red-shirting. Barring injury, he will get snaps as a true freshman.

If Jennings can get acclimated to the SEC game fast enough, 2014 could be a special year

That's why he needs snaps right now. The last thing we want is for Rivers to be the only returning QB with any game experience. It's going to be a battle between Jennings and Rivers in 2014. Rivers better step up his game.
