Pond fishing after a big rain...edited with hoist pics

I was considering taking an extended lunch to walk to the neighbors pond and fish, but with last night's rain I'm wondering if it would be worth the time - i.e., change in water levels as well as clarity.

What say the OB?

Opted to fish and aught 9 in an hour and a half. Used spinner bait and them switched to lizard. Fished shallow and now I'm under a tree waiting on rain to pass. Phuck work.

Fish! Too much fresh water is an old wives tale.

Spinnerbait or shallow cranks!

There are too many times when a man can't fish. Go fishing.

This. Fish the edges of any newly flooded grass.

We decided to buy first before we build on that land, so Probably 5-6 years before I build it.

I also have been looking at 30-100 acres that adjoins a national forest or wma to buy. Want to put a 3-4 acre pond on that.

The Pearl White Fluke Jr---walk the dog method works all day any day, rain or shine. I never use anything else and always catch bass.

You need to start keeping a few from the pond.

I usually pass. Depending on the time of year can really mess up the bite in a pond.

I hope you had permission to fish there. Pick looks a little creepy.

Yep, he could stand to cull the stock. Unfortunately/Fortunately, the owner doesn't fish.

Thanks for the insight -
