Cautiously optimistic if true, assuming that the years that have been passed have been spent setting up an arc from start to finish instead of the "make up plot points on the fly" style that they adopted in the later years.

I gotta be honest.
Back in the day 24 was revolutionary for TV.
With all of the great TV since, it doesn't hold up.
I'm excited about this, but the bar is really high now for TV.

Hope they bring back Chloe. She was great. Hated her in season 3 but she came into her own in season 4 and was awesome from there on.

I agree with this, when 24 premiered over a decade ago there was no Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Mad Men, The Wire, Homeland, Breaking Bad and so on.
However the bar is not nearly as high on Network television.
