Is Charlize Theron one of the more underrated female actors right now?

That's because she doesn't go around acting like a retard to get publicity.

Don't you actually have to be in good movies and do a good job in those movies to then be considered underrated.

She hasn't done anything good since Arrested Development.

I think she's incredibly underrated as an actress. She rarely gets props in the goat discussions and she certainly doesn't get the props she deserves. If she was a male with the same range and resume she'd be like DDL or something

I feel like she's pretty appropriately rated.

And one of the most gorgeous women to ever walk the planet.

An interesting tidbit about her is that she is from South Africa, and early in her career naturally spoke with a heavy Afrikaans accent.

If you hear her in interviews now she talks with a perfect American accent.

Well I personally believe anyone that can make you forget who they are in a movie is very special as far as acting goes. She's done this for me at least twice. Especially granted how gorgeous she is, it makes it that much harder to forget you are watching Charlize Theron in a movie. I firmly believe if she was up for more roles that showcases this kind of talent, perhaps she would be in the GOAT discussions.

I know this may sound retarded, but my first memory of her was in Devils Advocate in 1997. The thing is though, I thought for a few minutes while watching it for the first time, that she was Tiffani Amber Thiessen. I hadn't seen "Kelly Kapowski" on anything since the College Years, and I didn't watch 90210 at the time. I really arse thought she had dyed her hair blonde and adopted a southern accent for The Devils Advocate. And they both had this kind of mole or freckle at like the same exact spot on their throat (So removed 3-4 years from SBTB, I found this to be plausible.) I realized how incredibly wrong I was by the time they had moved to NYC in the movie, but I damn sure did think Charlize Theron was Kelly Kapowski for a few brief moments. Even to the point that I was trying to argue with my friend while watching it.
