Here is what I call a nice dessert

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F

Need frozen blueberries from the MeridianDog Blueberry Patch, sugar, self rising flour, butter.

Add blueberries to oven proof dish and sprinkle a Tablespoon of sugar over blueberries.

Make topping by melting a Tablespoon of butter in a microwave proof bowl, adding a Tablespoon of sugar and a half cup of flour. Mix until crumbly

and scatter topping over blueberries

Cook about 40 minutes until blueberries get nice and bubbly and crisp topping gets crisp

While Blueberry Crisp is cooling a little, go to the freezer and find some icecream.

My sensible Captain Jack portion

Her pitifully small Gussie Lee Portion

Mmmmmmm

Always go organic/natural vanilla ice cream. Publix has "gotta have vanilla" and it's incredibly good. Comes by the pint but can't remember which brand it is.

How many heart attacks have you had? I envy you for every meal you have ever posted except the spam one.

None. I have an artificial (mitral) heart valve and a pacemaker. Living 5+ years on borrowed time.

Spam is wonderful stuff. The king of processed meat. Fine with me if it is not for you.

I will be extra good tomorrow and burn it off.

Don't hate on spam. Fried spam on bunny bread with mayo (blue plate) and mustard is incredible, especially when paired with Ruffles.

Hea - no reason to feel bad. Stuff happens to everyone and I am a richly blessed man. God loves me in thousands of ways and more than many people would understand.

Funny trivial fact? It was a somewhat elective surgery in that they told me I would know when the heart valve had deterriorated to the point where I absolutely had to have the surgery ("just don't wait too long")and so I had it done on my birthday.

Spoon was moving too fast. All Spoon Cam shots were nothing better than a blurr.
