Hoping to beat the Memorial Day heat, Warner Bros. has bumped up the release of The Hangover Part III to Thursday, May 23, one day before Universal rolls out its action-packed Fast & Furious 6.
As Variety notes, Memorial Day weekend is understandably a coveted (and lucrative) play period for the studios. The Hangover Part II, for example, did extremely well over that holiday weekend in 2011.

Also turning out for the Memorial Day festivities is the animated feature Epic from Blue Sky Studios.

In related news, Warners has also released a few new posters for Hangover III, including this one featuring star Bradley Cooper (via IMP Awards):

I think thats a given

BTW Hangover 2 wasnt a bad movie, it was just the same movie as the 1st one. People wouldve loved it if they hadnt already seen the carbon copy

Two would've sucked as a stand alone film. It took the jokes from the first one and rewrapped them into even more absurd, less funny jokes.

This dude that sits in front of me in my pharmacology class was telling me this morning that he has a very high quality DVD waiting on him at home and he told me he'd bring it to me Friday morning. Perhaps this has something to do with why they bumped it up as well???

Anyone saying
quote:

god, i hope its better than the 2nd one.

and enjoyed the first one is an idiot. It's the same exact movie. had they put out 2 first, everyone would have though 1 was the one that sucked.

Apparently it did get leaked.

If they're moving it up to protect the story, may I suggest confiscating every copy of Hangovers I & II?

Not particularly hard, since I think they wrote that script over a weekend in one draft, turned it in, and decided to go with it. At least this one required some thought of a plot. The ice maker plot device is ludicrous for anyone who has been to Asia, since only places like the Ritz and high class bars have ice, which they clearly weren't at.

I'm pretty sure they went in a different direction with regard to the story structure

I really hope it's good

I have zero interest in this movie. The trailer does not look very good.

well, it does look like they changed it a tad bit. it seems like instead of a wedding, it's a funeral for the Alan's dad. at least they have that going for them.

Exactly, the film will be better by default.
