PSA: Chokecherry trees have bloomed in SELA

Get your carafes ready.

Cherry bounce is on the way.

By the first home game, it'll be time to sip.

Y'all have those? Introduced? All I've ever seen in the south is black cherry.

Yep.

They are in great abundance in the wild in SELA.

I'm sure they had to be introduced ages ago.

How do you make this wild sizzurp? I have these by me as well but have no idea how to make the elixir.

I use this recipe, works pretty well:

One gallon whiskey, one gallon cherries, twelve cups of sugar. Place all in carafe.

Cheesecloth on top of carafe.

Let sit in a cool, dry place out of sunlight from end of June until beginning of October.

Get fizzled.

Emerils recipe is slightly different.

I like mine sweet.
