Surfer Rosa, allegedly by "The Pixies"

I listened to this album yesterday. It is credited to The Pixies, but I believe there may have been a mistake as it is quite clearly the work of "The Uncle Bobby Band", comprised of Reid, Larkin, Audrey, and Peyton.
I heard the quartet perform the entire album last weekend using various kitchenware items, a vacuum cleaner, and three Wiggles' DVDs.

In all seriousness, I don't get the Surfer Rosa love that was being tossed around in the "Pixies v. Nirvana" thread. This is all subjective, I know, but my ears did not hear a good album.

I like Surfer Rosa ok....mostly for the album cover. The songs are generally just ok.

River Euphrates is my favorite Surfer Rosa track. The whole album is free of filler though.

I agree with you. And there was one other one in there -- near "where is my mind" -- that I thought was okay. But then there were like 8 or 9 tracks that were, in my estimation, just bad songs.
