Oh, this is the part in time where troll guy is making lots of valid points so we all point and call him a troll and walk away with the tail tucked between your butt cheeks.
You have mad zero valid points.

like we said, the guy admitted he did not own the lake, or any portion of the lake, he just thought it was rude of us to be fishing around his dock
but he used a few more "fricks" to get his point across
he probably just fricking can't stand hippies.

If you can reach it by boat, it's game on. You can't set foot out of the boat though. Had this conversation with WL&F agents coming out of the Army Ammo plant on Dorcheat with a couple limits of ducks one day. Since we waded, we were trespassing. Had we gone in in boats, they couldn't do a thing about it. Got a nice certified letter from the army to back that up telling me to frick off shooting their ducks.
We know some of the same people - this exact story was told to me about a year ago from someone whose "buddy" had this happen to them - including the part about the certified letter from the army.

he probably would not have been so aggressive towards us if I would not have had to shave my beard this weekend
he saw this fresh-faced, 12 year old looking guy in a kayak and thought he would impress his trophy wife by showing us who was boss

Salmon doesn't even look like a hippie right now - he had to shave his beard.

Hmmm... wonder how we could figure out the connection without busting ourselves.

Wait his wife was a trophy?
If so, you should've told him his wife said it was fine to fish there last night while you were buttfricking her.

dock etiquette
Don't physically touch the dock/ shoreline with the boat or person.
If I do either, you can bitch at me. If not, I will just smile and keep fishing. Unless you go all Billy Currington on me, then I'll bail.

Not true in all circumstances, has to do with land being owned prior to 1910, we have a huge chunk of land that is a private lake on a river due to a damn being put downriver from our land that is accessable from the river but is posted due to the fact that we own the land and it was land before 1910 and it was due to the fact that the damn flooded the land. We have every right to run people off and keep people out and they will be charged with trespassing and poaching if caught hunting or fishing.

I do this. If no one is in the yard or on the dock, cast away. Otherwise, just move on and wave. Keep the peace baby!

Just think if Mark Thompson bitched at everyone at Kincaid. He'd have no time to do anything else.

I figured this was the case with the oxbow, being it isnt accessible from the red...
I have got my arse chewed out twice by the same guy for fishing by his pier on a private oxbow near benton. I have 100 % permission to access the oxbow from a friend of mine.
I told the man ( while jerking white perch under his nose, lulz ) that i had every right to be on that water, and that these fish are not his fish.
I respectfully told him that we would not keep more than 20-30 white perch, but we sure as hell would put a hook in every lip that would bite our bait.
He stormed off threatening to tear his own peir down.. lol
I can halfway sympathize with the guy for getting aggravated, but again, he cant do anything about it. He handle it the wrong way.
I would still fish it fwiw.
Alx- Dont argue with me. Yes, semi private Oxbow means that the normal guy cannot access the body of water. You have to know someone to give you permission to launch on their property. The body of water isnt private. The ability to launch a boat is what gets this to "Semi Private Oxbow" status

Should have built a dockhouse with a trapdoor like they do on all the lakes in NE LA.
