Also, Everton play almost the polar opposite style that United have so far this season, so that will be interesting to watch.

Couldn't that be due to difference of squad strength/depth?

I mean, I guess an argument could be made. He's been at Everton for over a decade now though. Plenty of time to build a squad of any kind, and equally enough time to have a hand in the youth academy. Look what kind of squad Swansea has built in less than half the time, probably with less than half the money.

I hope you have a roller coaster of managers over the next ten years... The flavor of the months...

But I hope you go down the drain...

I fear the Moyes move may be a long term continuation of success, though he may take his lumps early on... Especially in Europe. How much will your fan base be willing to put up with? Like BEAST said, Slur Alex would never had made it this far if hired today... may have only lasted one season..

Here's to your board fricking up this hire

Jelly? Who says that?

What club isn't envious of United's success in the Premier League era?

You have been the best team in the league 80% of the past 20 years. News flash: people will want y'all to fail. Especially your rivals. Learn to just accept it instead of responding with some worthless comment every time.

I have to say I'll be watching this closely. I think we can all rule out Mourinho for obvious reasons, no not done deal with CFC, but he will want to put his mark on the team right away. SAF has built an empire. I think you would want continuity. I don't know who that may be, but whomever takes the job, they have a near impossible job. They have to win right away with the team SAF did. They will want trophies and I'm not sure they will be there long enough to stay and complete those goals. However, hasn't SAF fake retired once before?

I hope that this new hire will follow the same process that Southern Miss did in football ... Won the conference then next year went winless. Then y'all get relegated ... and you know why?

Because frick you! That's why!

I believe the term is "relegated"...wait, no, I know the term is "relegated".

Don't know what that had to do with the Southern Miss analogy, though.

regelated

Close enough.

First, I just messed up ... frick mistakes happen my bad.

Second, it has nothing to do with the analogy it's just something that I want to see happen to Man U.

Third and trying to be serious here for a second I do respect SAF more than about anybody when it comes to soccer but in a way you would respect your nemesis though you wish the worst things imaginable upon them in the heat if battle through your time fighting each you grow to respect one another. He is the best that has ever been and I wish him the best in his retirement but I am so happy he is gone.

I felt the same way when Saban left LSU.

ETA: I have had way too much to drink tonight to be in discussion with y'all about this tonight, sorry about my rant y'all to a hangover at work tomorrow . My bad gents.

No big deal. First I was confused, then I decided to do a little ribbing.

Got it. Part of the reason why I was confused (see above).

I understand, but then again I wasn't fighting that battle with anyone. This is how I expect rival fans to act.

You can't argue he is one of the greatest (if not the single greatest) football managers and title-winning coaches in all of sport. He's just built a legacy of winning and made Manchester United the powerful club I love to this very day. I expect hate and respect (if that makes sense) from all non-United fans. Heck, he deserves both for the way he's conducted himself over the years.

I feel the same way about Saban at Alabama. Possibly the greatest college football coach of all-time, but man if I do not wish the worst upon him and his teams at times.
