Released today SIAP

So if the SEC and ACC combine for 10 hosts, that leaves four in the West and two in the Midwest.

I don't think the SEC will get 5 host teams.

maybe not the best question for TR, but thinking you can answer. How legit does UVA look? Do you think they have a very good chance at Omaha?

Young team that will be prone to making mistakes in post-season play. I was a lot more confident with our 2009 or 2011 teams.

We do have some clutch hitting this year though, but our pitching and defense aren't as 'elite' as previous years IMO

There is certainly a chance. If Arky finished the season 20-9 in the SEC they are getting a host. MSU and SC both have RPIs of 10 and 11 respectively. As of today, the SEC gets 5. The ACC is right there too with Clemson as the potential 5th joining UNC, UVA, NC State, and FSU.

I hope yall beat the crap out of them. I hate UNC almost as much as VA Tech. They have some of the most annoying fans.

Honestly, either Miss St. or Arky will host. I just don't see both hosting. With Miss St's tough schedule, I think they will end up being the odd man out. Of course, Arky or Miss St. could end up being the #1 seed at a regional like Indiana, Louisville, or USA.

Thanks. I want to go to Omaha sometime with my Step-Dad(UVA fan), and even though I know this is not the best year(without getting a credit card to pay back over time). This would be a great year IMO. With both LSU and UVA doing good

If Arky hosts with that RPI, I will be pissed considering we got left out all together in '11(granted they have a SEC record that most years could contend for the title)

I think the SEC record for them will override their RPI.

I am thinking the same thing, but that doesn't mean I won't be a little pissed.
They have a legit shot to win 20 games, and that is not easy

I don't care what your RPI is, if you win 20 games in the SEC regular season in 29 attempts, you get a regional host. The committee has shown they focus heavily on conference record (a la why we got left out in 2011). MSU and SC both being 13-11 and 13-10 teams need to finish strong to get the regional host. They finish the season playing each other. That'll be a great series to follow. The winner will likely win the regional bid.
