It took about four viewings to catch all 3+ but yeah. It's really well done, and entertaining even if you hate them, and makes me wish Joe Walsh was my uncle, he's one of the few that doesn't seem like a childish prick. Thanksgivings would rock

I like the Eagles but I can admit they can get pretty boring.

Take It Easy is a great cruising song to sing along to.

Watched it about a month ago.

It's a pretty long documentary but entertaining. Good background of the formation of the band, how their record deals were structured, fighting with the record labels, spinning off to solo careers, and the reunion.

I had forgotten just how many hits these guys had. Pretty amazing how many hits they put out. I am not an Eagles fan, but I still enjoyed it.

A little bit. There is a little bit about Henley and Shiloh.

Also, somewhat related to your quesiton. They discuss Linda Ronstadt's role in the Eagles' success (which I was unaware of)

I bought the documentary off Amazon and just plowed through the first two discs (the third one is a concert). Absolutely epic.

I had some cursory knowledge of this stuff, but the crossover with Bob Seger, Linda Rondstadt, and Jackson Browne was fascinating. JD Souther whining about how Jackson Browne wouldn't stop f-ing playing Doctor My Eyes and the Pretender was hysterical.

One of the more interesting aspects for me was the lesser known guys. I always knew a little about JD Souther, Randy Meisner, and Don Felder. I didn't even remember Bernie Leadon. I kind of feel bad for Felder. He is a jealous idiot that can't help himself and appreciate what he has, and it cost him his spot in the band. It has to hurt that he is not listed as an Eagle on the documentary labeling.

The inner workings with the producers were cool. The feud between the band and David Geffen is the best part of this whole documentary.

Don Henley is a Grade A egomaniac and I love the guy.
