Unfortunately they will recommend some sort of outpatient treatment.

frick, that's an old cry from those who think their opinion is special when in reality it's just as bias as everyone else.

Hope that curfew doesn't mean he misses night games. Haha

I have a feeling this won't be the last time he gets in trouble. Sort of the same deal as with Mathieu. Trouble will follow them.

bullshite Doc. He would actually be in more trouble. In Alabama it is illegal to have sex with a child if you are an adult, whether she is in the same school as you or not.

The article said he will not appear again until August 16. I don't see reinstatement as a possibility until at least this date. Not good since practice starts way before then.

That's the beauty of letting the legal system take care of it first. If this comes to pass then most of the hard decisions are made by the court and Les can worry about coaching.

Did you miss this part?

Bernie said Tuesday that prosecutors likely will file a motion in the coming weeks asking Jackson to revoke Hill’s probation.

This isn't over yet.

ETA: That said, I've maintained all along that Hill's probation will not be revoked and he'll miss 1-2 games max, if any.

Hill was decked out in LSU gear.

They can file a motion but the judge that will oversee the revocation hearing is the same judge that handed down the restrictions today.

They can file a motion all they want, doesn't mean the court will grant it.

Provided Hill follows the new conditions of his probation, I'd say this is probably close to being over.

I realize. But it's still something that remains to be adjudicated.

I hope so, but easier said than done. A star LSU RB avoiding bars, alcohol and being home by 6 P.M. for the next 8 months? Tough line to walk...

We'll see how much LSU means to him.

I think he'll do the correct thing. I honestly do.

Hey, I hope so too.

Everyone is assuming that Judge Jackson would deny any revocation motion merely because she added restrictions to Hill's probation. What if the restrictions were added merely due to the arrest and misdemeanor charge and without any consideration of revocation and/or conviction of the simple battery? Lots of assuming going on...

It really would make no sense at all to add restrictions if she even had the slightest feeling that later on, she may have to revoke the entire probation. IMO

"I'm going to add these restrictions but later I'm going to revoke your probation altogether."

Just thinking out loud, I know she didn't say that.

No doubt. None of us were there to know the details so all people have are assumptions.

Well, sure it would. He's on probation as we know, then he's arrested and charged with simple battery. Judge Jackson on her own accord adds restrictions to the probation due to the arrest and misdemeanor charge until Hill is convicted or the charges are dismissed.

All I'm saying is the added restrictions to Hill's probation is not probative or determinative of the ultimate outcome, that being whether his probation is revoked. That remains to be seen.

I never said it was. I said it was unlikely that she would do that if she later would revoke it.

Maybe it was for the arrest, maybe it wasn't. Like you said, it's all assumed.

We don't know.

For her to hand down more restrictions on an already active probation (that had it's own restrictions prior to her ruling) sounds more like this is what will stick, instead of revoking the whole works later. She didn't hand down more restrictions on a whim.

The guy didn't commit murder. Maybe the prosecutors will agree with the judge's decisions and respect it.

I agree. Ultimately it's a good day for Hill/LSU. It's highly, highly unlikely that his probation will be revoked at this point or at a later time merely due to a misdemeanor charge... assuming he walks the line with the new restrictions. Let's hope for LSU's sake that he's smart enough to do that.
