With 4 teams ranked ahead of LSU in the pre-season you might say the opportunity for moving up is there......
It's actually refreshing to see other teams ranked ahead of us that normally are not. We have been the hunted for the past several years.
This year the Tiger hunts.....

TAMU 2

People forget that Manziel looked terrible against our defense last year, 3 picks and a myriad of sacks and negative plays. they lost their starting RB, LT and Swopes who was huge in their offense. Defense lost some key contributors as well.

Florida lost some elite talent and after the Louisville lose, I think that was a precursor of the appropriate level of this team under Muschamp.

Georgia will be Georgia.

Alabama and LSU will reload, they have new fresh OLine, well we have a new fresh D Line. Bama/LSU will once again decide the fate of the NC Trophy.

11-15 is about right.

We will prob end the season at about # 15 with 2 reg season losses and a bowl loss in a game that the players view as insignificant.

"Bama/LSU will once again decide the fate of the NC Trophy"

LOL. The only way LSU decides fate is whether we can give Bama a loss which keeps it out of the NC game.

I thought I had missed his analysis of our football team. Nope. There was no analysis. Just some ramblings about how Hill might end up in jail.
I had the same general impression. But then it occurred to me that arrests of LSU players, key players, for bar-room brawling and or substance abuse, must be the growing general impression of LSU out there in media-land. Which, if something is not done to radically change off the field LSU player behavior, will then become the general impression of LSU nationwide. And thus we could soon become the new Miami"Thug U" poster child team. Don't like that.

I do hope this season reverses the negative impressions and behaviors at LSU and we start seeing our Tigers really dominate again. Starting with TCU, and including those 4 SEC teams ranked ahead of LSU, as mentioned in the article.

Not buying A&M either. JF will have a soph slump. We went in to College Station in a trap, 1130 hangover game and still handily beat them. He's got great feet and is a marginal passer. They will drop 3 this yr. Also, I'm sick of hearing about our defections. That's why we recruit. Consensus top 5-10 classes affords us that luxury. If we don't have players, its a fault of the coaches. We can "reload" just like that other school. We're hiding in the weeds.

Good spot. I'd rather be pre-ranked #13 than #1 any day of the week

It was kind of fun being ranked #1 for much of that ill-fated 2011 season.
