I grew up in Ohio and have had this debate with a bunch of homers. I'm interested in getting some more objective opinions. Outside of y'alls hatred for yankee football can y'all rank these programs as to how good of coaching jobs they are.

For me:
1. Ohio State.
2. Notre Dame
3. Michigan

I mean all 3 of them are top 10 in the country

You can recruit nationally the best at ND, then Mich, then prob OSU because of NBC/academics

Ohio has far and away the most in state talent, although I'm not sure there is enough JUST in state to win titles

I'd probably agree with your rankings, but to me it's more a 1A/1B with ND and Michigan is third

I think OSU is a better job than ND ever since ND upped their entrance requirements. Michigan is behind both.

Nationwide I think maybe only Texas is a better job. I don't think they realize how good they should be.

Im ranking them based on: talent, recruiting fields, alumni, academics,$$, schedule, facilities, history, etc-not current state of the program.

1. Notre Dame

2a. tOSU
2b. Michigan

There's really no difference between Ohio State and Michigan except for the high school talent in Ohio, which Michigan gets sometimes.

I think you said the difference; Michigan gets it "sometimes" while OSU always gets it

As I said, all 3 are top caliber jobs that are destinations for almost any coach in the profession

Honestly, I don't understand what the dilemma is here.

Based on academic ease:
1. Ohio State
2. Michigan
3. Notre Dame

OSU is by far the worst school academically here, so it's an easier job.

Yet it still has an outstanding academic reputation particularly when you consider the size of the university.

Not sure if that's a shot at OSU academics, or a nod to how good ND and Mich are?

OSU is a pretty good school in its own right, but of course is behind the other 2 by a distance

I was thinking from a recruiting viewpoint.

Academically, they are all incredible universities. I wish I had a degree from any of them.

It's more of praising ND and UM academics

OSU is a good school, it's on par with UGA as far as academics go. Good, but not like Vandy (UM) quality.

Michigan: Go Blue!!!! Mom graduated from there

As for the other two, there's not enough vomit in the world for me to appropriately express my disdain for them.
