Y'all are focusing on the wrong thing. It doesn't matter if he threw 7 innings or 9 innings. What matters is how many pitches is he throwing. Nola has been throwing complete games even though his total pitch count has only been in the 105-115 pitch range. Most pitchers throw that many pitches by the 7th inning. Just because he has been throwing complete games does not mean that he has been over-extending himself.

What does this have to do with anything?

His bad outings all seem to be road SEC games.

His best outing of the season also came on the road.

Throw enough shite at the board and eventually some of it will stick I guess.

Yep. He's been extremely efficient over his past 4 starts

No questions that Glenn would go game one of a regional, the question is the SEC tourney and the teams goal, do you throw Glenn in game one of the tourney keeping him on Thursday turns and Nola on Friday, or do you go for the throat and throw Nola, Eades, Glenn and try to win the tourney.

He may do exactly what he did last year in Game 1 of the SEC Tournament. Throw Glenn for a couple of innings and then go by comitteee.

Since we have a top 4 national seed all but locked up, I don't really give any fricks about the SEC tournament.

I'd say limit Glenn, Eades, and Nola to 4 innings in games they'd pitch.

I don't take anything for granted. Win the series this weekend and a top 8 is locked up. Win both series and finish 7-2 and THEN a top 4 is locked up IMO.

We're sweeping A&M, then the Casey Yocom/Chris Chinea pain train is going to drop 25 on UNO, then we take 2 of 3 from Ole Miss.

2 or 3 seed on lock.

and I thought someone was going to come in here and tell me how negative that outlook is. I was trying to meet him in the middle of his prediction and how I really feel about things being "locked up"

Seriously though...we win this series on the road and it's locked up regardless of what happens vs Ole Miss and in Hoover.

I said that too and agree. But I say that would lock up a top 8 not top 4 (not that it matters)

I should have been more specific in regards to pitches vice innings, but in each cg he's been at or above 100 pitches. He's not a huge dude, he doesn't have that 6'4 200 lbs workhorse frame and he had to be skipped in the rotation last year one week in addition to a fairly low pitch count. I'm just fearful of him tiring down the stretch, his velo was down Friday so I'm curious to see it this weekend.

yes but under 110 in all 4 also. that isn't an an exceptional amount of pitches for a guy that throws once a week

I agree as long as we win the West, which we will.
