Ummmmm...what?
A mod is something that someone makes himself i.e. said person makes a MODIFICATION to something. If said item isn't in its original state, it's been modified bruh
I put rubber bumpers on the joysticks of my controller (similar to control freeks). Technically my controller is modded

Scuf controllers are MLG legal and not modded controllers in the traditional sense.

i own a SCUF Controller. worth every penny.
yes, it has trigger stops which allows me to shave off a few milli-seconds off the time my controller recognizes a trigger pull, but you can also get PS3 joysticks, military grade grip on the back, and it painted in zebra print. i guess those are also modifications?

A modded controller is a controller that attempts to override the game developers game functions.
Does a SCUF controller ovveride the game developer's game functions with macro's like some of the Rapid Fire or Auto-Drop shot macro buttons? No I still have to pull the trigger multiple times for a semi-auto. and i still have to press 2 buttons to drop shot.
Hell, you can send your controller that came in your xbox 360 bundle into SCUF gaming and they will add the same features.

I couldn't care less what people use. I'm not very good either way. My point is that you are saying it isn't "modded". My point is that by the very definition of modified/modded/modification, it is b/c it's not in the original state as intended.
You put rims on a car...modded
You put an extension on the trigger or button of a controller...modded
I couldn't care less who allows it. NASCAR is all modded cars. They just have regulations. Doensn't make it any less modified or any less legal.

I don't even think of that as modding but rather flat out BS cheating
FWIW, I've played with people who claim they can tell when someone is using a modded controller. I'm sure I've been victim but always chalked it up to my lack of skillz.
The only controller mod I could really think of that would bother me would be a lag switch. That's some BS. We played Demo the other day and had one bomb down, the other bomb planted and conveniently hit some lag and went skipping around as the bomb got diffused. Once, ok no big deal. Happened 3 times in one match. I don't know.....awful convenient.
ETA: I also don't know exaclty what an aimbot is or how spot one. I'd imaine it give pinpoint accuracy. Just don't know how one would make/use one or how to spot it

An aim bot you can shoot a bullet with a sniper in any direction and automatically get a headshot

While a modded SCUF controller doesnt have the same modification attributes as other mods, it is a modded version of the original design. Fact.
Back to the original point, You meaning I or those who dont need to rely on a modified CRUTCH controller, can do just fine with out it.

Obviously, and there would be no point in buying one if they didn't offer some kind of inherent advantage, but that hardly equates it to an aimbot or full auto controller.

my SCUF didn't really improve my skills any. no matter the milliseconds you might shave off with a trigger trop, it's still based on hand/eye coordination. somehow mine is better when under the influence....as much sense as that makes. everything else on a SCUF controller is ergonomics and looks.

Wired vs Wireless it he main issue.. Wired you get faster tiggers then with Wireless. Any wired controller will beat a wireless.
