Is there any actor's career path today that would be similar?

He would be a hybrid of Leonardo DiCaprio and JGL. He would have won 5 Oscars already.

Brandon Lee's Crow was iconic. Without it there is no revived Sting in WCW and no Ledger's Joker.

His acting wasn't particularly special, he probably would have become a Jason Statham style action star.

I think The Crow only had the appeal because the dude died filming it.

Agree. People overrate how big he would have been.

Not at all. The Crow was a perfect movie for that time. It had an excellent soundtrack, pretty damn good story, appealed to the freaks and geeks, and had enough action, blood and boobs for regular crowd.

It would have been successful if Brandon had lived.

I think Brandon would have been a successful actor. Those B-Movie roles seemed to be an example of him being pigeon holed because of his father's name. The Crow was the first time he really stepped out on his own, and I think his career would have taken off as a result. Probably had a heartthrob run like Pitt for a while.

We would've gotten a better version of this character:

shut up Will Smith

My first thought was Jason Statham's. Brandon Lee had far better acting chops than his dad and probably would have been involved in some fairly large action movies. He was 28 in 1993 and looked young.

Then again, he could have done Double Dragon the next year and had his career tank, so you never know, but I do think he could have used the Crow to launch a more successful action movie career. But also remember that while the 90s were filled with action movies, a lot of them were fricking horrible. It is amazing to me that Schwarzenneger and Stallone and Norris all became (or maintained there status as) big action stars by starring in some of the most mindless action movies ever created.

Because the joker didn't have white skin and red lips. And Brandon lee is the first actor to wear makeup...

Now this character was definitely an influence on the joker's character
