For those of you that have frequented Hoover, how easy would it be to buy a ticket, say, the day of the champ game? Availability/scalpers/etc?

I've never seen any session completely sold out. You can usually buy general admission and sit just about anywhere.

Unless Alabama and Auburn are playing each other in your session, no worries.

Thanks for the info. Would love to see Slive bring it to Coolray field (Gwinnett braves) sometime.

I think Slive got his kickback recently and signed a long term deal with Hoover people....10 years, I think.

The baseball tournament should be rotated among about 4 sites. But I don't get a vote.

Walk up and get them easily unless you are in the same session as Alabama. Still available but crowded.

You don't want it at the new Regions. Parking is awful and if it's a day game you might as well forget about it. As long as it's in Birmingham area they should keep it at the Met.

ETA: Yes, 99 percent of the time is very easy to get tickets to the tournament.

Tickets are super easy to get. For a day game you definitely want to get there when the gates open / reopen as the sun can be pretty hot depending on where you sit. During the day games general admission is actually better than the reserved seats.

Definitely want it to stay in Hoover at the Hoover Met. There are plenty of restaurants, hotels, etc within a couple minutes of the stadium...on top of TONS of space for tailgating...and it is still a very nice stadium, just not brand new.

The new Regions Park is in downtown Birmingham close to Railroad Park. They are trying (note I said trying) to clean up the area, but I wouldn't be caught down there after dark. Downtown Birmingham is just plain awful and full of folks up to no good.

Be glad it is still in Hoover..oh and tickets are easy to get. Don't let them fool you into buying the whole package either. Buy session to session.

Oh yea...and find a Jim N Nicks BBQ. WAAAAAAY better than Dreamland. The original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa is ok, but Jim N Nicks is freaking AWESOME!!! There is one in Hoover at the corner of Highway 150 and Highway 31 right down from the Galleria mall, and about 5 - 7 minutes from the Hoover Met depending on traffic (which can get pretty heavy on Hwy 150).
