First month of the season is over and it looks like the standings are starting to shape a little.

Big Gyne made a big jump last week.

After 1 month in, I have a tenuous grasp on the last playoff spot by 1 game. It will be a long season.

I think I will find out if my team is a true contender over the next month or so. I knew my early schedule was pretty easy, so I figured I would have a better record than the quality of my squad.

I honestly don't think by the end of the season I'm in this thing...too many young guys and guys playing over their head (Y Betancourt)...but my pitching is tops so I'll have some valuable pieces to sell off.

You deff have the best up and coming youngsters. My prospects are either hurt or suspended

I actually think you will be at least be middle of the pack. Most of your keepers could be impact guys by the end of the season.

If you still own Yuniesky Betancourt by week 18 and he works my team again, then I will be furious.

I do like the fact that I have been without Aramis and Bruce has done jack shite. Looking forward to Beachy in late June. However, I only have four starters right now.

I punted 2B hoping/expecting Profar to come up by June...not sure that's going to happen now.

I can put you a second baseman if you want to compete. Also, I would be psyched if they trade Profar. I want Kinsler to stay at second badly.

Kinsler
Utley

Kelly Johnson gives you a nice HR/SB combo.

Halladay has been terrible, Lee has been pedestrian...Hamels is the only one deserving of sympathy, he's pitched well....other guys less Lannan have pitched well, too. Overall, though, Phillies are a disaster.

Today is the 15th anniversary if Kerry Wood's 20k game, and I turned it on when he was pitching in the 8th. That slider gets nastier every time I watch that game. I am pretty sure the ball is on a string. It is not supposed to move like that.
