Never pass it up....

Playing after day drinking all day on a Sunday night- not much better than that.

What could have / should have been...

I'd put The Band right there with The Allmans and The Dead if it could have all stick together.

Helm and the Midnight rambles are some of the best improv on tape the last 10 years.

Yessir- it's the outlet. 5 years ago would have been white lines trying to keep up with Jodi's guitar - anchor if you must and get back to your music of choice.

I'd say 75% of this board - including the "new" Phish / Panic fans- never seen it.

Got it off netflix a few years ago when they delivered DVDs with The Wall and just never returned them and cancelled the account. Great stuff.

Need to re watch those actually.

I used to only listen to the Band before I went out because it was the only CD i had for this old loud stereo system still brings me back when I hear the live version where they bring the hawk on stage and the crowd goes wild.

I own it and watch it all the time. The Band is easily my second favorite band just slightly behind The Allman Brothers.

I'd be willing to be that damn near every WSP and Phish fan on this site has seen the Last Waltz

Some of you old fricks just don't understand that there is not a age requirement to fandom.

I never saw a Mikey show. You know why? Because I was fricking 12..... But you can bet your arse I was digging through my older brothers tapes listening to shows.

George/jimmy are an embarrassment. JB, JOJO, Schools fuxk em all for that abortion they are feeding kids.

Same. For Phil and Friends, et al

When the music dies, let it live.

Feeding the bs druggie fun is a money grab.

Guy I used to work with was there. He was a freshman at Cal-Berkeley. It was Thanksgiving night, they served the audience a turkey dinner afterward.

Rick Danko's "Crazy Chester" line is the best part of the show, IYAM

Are you high now?

What does this have to do with anything? I go to panic now because, while it may not be what it used to be, it's the closest I'm ever going to get. You want to rob people like me of that experience because you've gotten old and jaded? Go frick off

After reading Levon's autobiography "This Wheels On Fire", I'm no longer a fan of The Last Waltz. Read the book to find out why.

Levon is the man. So glad to go to see him at ACL 2009.
