Besides for Tsunami I don't understand most of the hate in this thread.

I have never had a bad meal from chimes, and the beer menu makes it an even better place.

George's is what it is. A lunch or dinner after a ball game with the fellas kind of spot. Nothing more, nothing less.

I will say that I am shocked that walkons is not getting hit left and right.

IMO walkons is the most overrated bar/restaurant I have ever been to next to margarita ville in Waikiki. Terrible food, absurdly priced drinks, and a mediocre wait staff.

not to mention, isn't the owner of George's the douche who tried to put the food trucks out of business?

Can't blame the guy for trying to use his political stroke to better himself regardless of whether it was good for the masses. Oops, he lost his bid for re-election, and a politician out of office is about on the same level as a used car salesman.

I think the food at George's on G O'Neal is pretty tasty, but the nastiness of the place and the lingering stale grease smell that permeates your clothing & skin keeps me from eating there.

Walk-On's isn't overrated, because most people that I know and most people on this board feel the same way as you do.

PF Changs

I stay away from that place, only because I don't know what to order. The 2 or 3 times that I've been there, I probably should have ordered more stuff because I left kinda hungry...And no, I'm not skinny.

I need one of you (LL preferably) to be my PF Changs guide the next time I go there.

These are generally stupid threads. Most people don't understand what the term "overrated" means and just list restaurants they don't like. Example: OP says Georges is overrated. Really? When the hell was Georges highly rated?

And a lot of the other posts come from somebody that went to a restaurant once during Valentine's Day and had one thing on the menu and a subpar experience and spout off about how the place is horrible.

Except for Changs all of those are pretty good. I mean a few might be overrated like Mike Anderson's IMHO but it stall has good food and a good atmosphere. The Chimes is underrated for food IMO there stuff is excellent

Ruffinos Juan's and Flemings are three of my favorite upper teir restaurants on BR.
I've never been dissatisfied any time we've been.

Exhibit A

As for my original list, every restaurant on there has been mentioned to me on multiple occasions from various people as good places to eat.

lol

I've eaten at almost every restaurant listed in this thread, and can honestly say that some of you people are obviously expecting way to much from places.

Really? George's is overrated? Who the frick thinks George's is some elite restaurant to begin with?

Mike Anderson's? Who ever said this place was great? They carry decent food, but I'm surely not going out of my way for that shite.

PF changs and Flemings? Did you really list 2 decent CHAINS?

Threads dumb to begin with as people have stated.

Ill stay in this fantastic food filled city named lafayette and enjoy pluckers, am mart, and curbside when I make my occasional trip back.

Please, do us all a favor and do not reach 180 posts.

TigerHam, you are entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to mine.

You can rant and rave all you want about how you never hear anyone saying great things about any of these places, such as Mike Anderson's, for example. Yet I can drive by Mike Anderson's on any given night and the parking lot is packed and there's a waiting list.

I made it very clear in an earlier post that this is based on the opinions of people not just on this board, but people of this town in general.

The Chimes is the epitome of the word "average."

If the thread is so "dumb" then why do you continue to respond? Apparently there are multiple others (as shown in this thread) that agree with me. Perhaps you and your elitist attitude should stick to the O-T.

The one on government is actually worth it. All the other ones suck and skimp on the portions.

Not sure how a 10-12inch cold cut sandwich that's 100x's better than anything subway puts out for $6.19 with chips and a 32oz drink can be overrated, but to each his own.

It's $6, that's why it's not overrated IMO.
