What are the can't-miss Jazz Fest food items?
Posted by TheIndulger on 5/5/13 at 10:25 am10
It's only my second time at the colossal jazz Fest. I hear crawfish bread is a cant miss. Last time I had soft shell crab poboy which was great but I'm looking for something different.
Whats great,, food board, besides the crawfish bread?

Crawfish bread is way down on my list if it makes it at all.
Jama Jama, Cochon de lait poboy, pheasant quail and andouille gumbo, meaty white beans, oyster combo plate

Skip crawfish bread.
Get that pheasant/qual gumbo.
crawfish streudal.
Get the three item combo plate that has a crawfish sack, an oyster paddy thing, and another great dish that I can't remember right now.

Crawfish bread is good. And easy to eat if you have a drink in hand

I'm planning on getting a multitude of food items. I'll say its muddy, windy and smells like shite but I'm having a good time

Crawfish enchiladas are the best thing I had at any festival in awhile

Mine was "yakimitu japanese BBQ beef"? Poboy and it was top notch with some pickled veggies and Siracha to garnish! I damn near went back for another (fatso)
I had the Yakiniku poboy (catered by Ninja I think) for the first time on Saturday and it was very good. Also is the best bang for your buck IMO...large portion for $7.
