Finally got in a range trip today. Had to shoot up some of that hard to find ammo.

The Guns, Sig SP2022, Ruger SR22 and Sig 1911 Nightmare.

My Son about to shoot some steel targets.

The Nightmare. Ran some Remington UMC, Blazer Aluminum, Speer Gold Dot 185gr, Remington HD 230gr (actually is Golden Sabres repackaged), and some WWB (not pictured). It ate it all, not a single hiccup. About 300 rounds total.

After the workout, she was a dirty, dirty girl, but was still shooting fine.
Look at this feed ramp and mag well!

My son held it up for me so y'all could see the filthy barrel and bushing.

For those that think a 1911 won't run dirty, here is the proof. The thing was nasty and still running just fine.

Here is the SP2022 with some of the ammo it ate up today. Federal, American Eagle, Blazer Aluminum and Wolf Steel case. It ate it all without a hiccup.

I haven't shot this gun as much as I would like, but after today, I realized just how smooth the SA trigger is on this gun. It is really amazing. Shooting steel instead of targets let me concentrate more on the gun and let me tell you, I am more than impressed with the trigger pull. I would heavily recommend this gun to anyone looking for a 9mm in the $400 range. It is a steal at that price. The SA trigger is better than my Nightmare.
The DA pull is long and deliberate, but smooth. Exactly what you want on a gun with no safety.

She was also a dirty girl when we got finished.
We put about 200 rounds through her as well.

I ran across one 9mm round that was not seated fully. This was Federal 115gr.

I also put about 100 rounds through the SR22. Since .22 is so scarce, I shot it the least. It functioned fine with not a single issue. I was shooting CCI Mini-Mags.

So all three guns I can recommend. They all functioned flawlessly and were a lot of fun to shoot.

Nobody looked down the barrel. It was taken at an angle. I deliberately took steps to get that shot but do it in a safe manner.

That's a fun day slapping steel. I burn way more ammo than on paper though.

That may be a stretch, but whatever works for you.

Glad they all ran fine. Shooting steel is a hell of a lot more fun than shooting paper.

I have the SP 2022 in 9mm and .40 and love them both. Great value for the money.

bapple, I hear what you are saying. The trigger on a
$400 gun should not compete with the $1000 gun...but it does. It is really, really good.

We really had a blast with those poppers too. We were having a "double tap" competition. 8 rounds in the 1911, double tap all four targets.
