An interesting sub plot McNamara has mentioned is would the Clippers make an offer the Pelicans can't refuse to get out of the CP3 sweepstakes. Basically giving us Bledsoe cheap, something like Vasquez for Bledsoe and Butler. Taking on Butler takes up enough cap space to put us out of the running for CP3 and gives the Clippers a little flexibility to make some moves to keep CP3.

This is a possibility only if the Clips see the Pelicans as a legit threat to take him. I doubt they do because we really aren't.

That doesn't mean we won't get Bledsoe, I just doubt it would be for cheap. And I don't see the Clippers doing a thing with Bledsoe until CP signs on the dotted line.

Vasquez and CP on the same team? That would be interesting. I could see them "having dinner" often.

That's something I've been meaning to bring up. If CP has the ability to give massive input into all of LAC's moves, as has been rumored, he's not going to want a Bledsoe trade that sends Vasquez to LA. He hates Vasquez.

Care to elaborate on this one?

Did Vasquez tell CP3 that his buddy Melo's girl tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios or something?

Scheduling Lowe has been tough. In touch, but it has not happened. Have some other good ones in the hopper, and trying for some really good ones. It's just tough.

Bledsoe is a cheap option that will be restricted in a year. The deal makes him appealing. I am not as high on him as some, but I get it.

For me, it's more a small marketplace thing than him 'poking up'.

To me, we can go SF or PG this offseason, or trade Gordon and react to that.

They got into it in one of the last games of the season. Almost got into an altercation after Vasquez picked up a foul on one of CP's signature flops. After the words exchanged, CP just said "frick you" and punked him the rest of the game, took it over and just dogged him. Basically Chrissy Poo called him out after the game, was very scathing, and said "He talks too much", called him the "Savior" of the Hornets in a very sarcastic way, etc. Apparently they really don't like each other.

Yeah, Vasquez doesn't put up with Chrissy Poo's bullshite, which pisses him off. All the better, in my opinion. I don't want the whole league trading reach-arounds.

That said, Chrissy Poo was best buds with Jack and we see how well that worked out.

Agree. I'm sick of the hug-fest this league has become. All of the Super Friends cuddling up with each other.

Forgot about that.

shite like that is part of why I would be OK with not getting him back, as he's a great player but a huge bitch a good chunk of the time.

By the way, he was already recruiting Matt Barnes to come back to LAC:

quote:

"Chris and I have already been talking about it," Barnes said while speaking to reporters at the Clippers’ training facility on Saturday. "We talked about it on the plane last night. He's obviously the franchise player but we also talked about what I was thinking about doing. Without giving anything away, he was doing his job (in recruiting me)."

He gets paid the most money there, has the most opportunity for exposure there, and they have legit pieces to either work with or trade for good return.

They'll re-sign him, move Bledsoe and Jordan for nice pieces, get new coach, and sign some vets nearing the end of their career. CP isn't leaving.

And he said sarcastically, "that Vasquez is going to be an all star".

CP definitely thinks his shite doesn't stink.

It also looks like the new CBA has a fairly hard cap with the punitive taxes and trade/roster restrictions for tax payers. So having an owner willing to pay taxes isn't what it used to be because everyone is trying to avoid being a tax team now. That makes Sterling's cheapness less of a factor.

If you're talking about earlier in the year, I don't think that was sarcasm, that was him talking up a guy that just went off on him in a loss.

Bledsoe I can believe.

Jordan, though? How many teams are going to pay $10m a season for a guy who is worthless in the 4th?

Has anyone heard that the Celtics might move Bradley? I have heard they are backing off him since he got shredded by Felton in the playoffs. If they keep Rondo, they might be open to trading Bradley, since they really can't play together liked they planned to.. Bradley might be a good fit next to Vasquez. He can defend PGs and is really quick. Had an awesome reputation as a defender before this offseason..

Teams in need of a center always overpay. If Drummond doesn't increase his basketball skill he's the next Jordan, and I bet he gets a similar contract when the time comes.

This rumor is new to me.

Avery's a good defender. Problem is that he can't produce shite offensively.

That's an issue for a team like us which only has so many offensive options. We're better off with a guy like Gordon capable of creating shots.

I know, I know.. that was his whole deal before though (defensive stopper). Which was why the Celtics had him as untouchable.. But that might be changing..

This article is from the Mavericks' perspective, but it makes some good points about Donald Stirling's bigoted nature and how it can be used against the Chokers.

Link got derped, sons.
