Question about Remington survey I received via email

There asking the typical personal questions but also asking about number of guns in the household, usage, ect....
Is the government behind this or am I being a paranoid coonass?
The boycot Remington thread ( which I didn't read) has me a little cautious.

Tell them Marlin lever actions and their 770 (edit) models have gone to complete crap. They need to get some pride in their craftsmanship once again.

I've shot a few and can say they are definitely junk. The bolt completely locked up on two of them, and they were new guns out the box.

They upset a lot of gun owners by accepting a handout from the very gun-unfriendly NY government to stay in the state. A bunch of companies in anti-gun states are moving south where they are welcomed. Magpul, Colt Precision, Beretta, and Stag are some examples.
