I think i only played a few minutes of borderlands and didnt really like it.
I bit the bullet and bought borderlands 2 after reading the threads on it, and i couldnt put it down. game is awesome.

Idk about the GB, but I played through as an assassin the first run then a Mechronancer my second (op, Mechronancer summons a robot to fight for you)

I finished the main story line last night but it said that I've unlocked more content and that I can fight bigger and better baddies now.
The Warrior dropped a shite ton of stuff. I couldn't come close to picking it all up to sell it for cash.

Yes when at the main menu, click on your name and then press Y if you are on xbox. You can then chose true vault hunter mode and you will play through the game again with enemies at higher levels. Once you hit a 50 you can go up to extreme vault hunter mode

bit of a hijack: I bought 2 for xbox like a jackass, anywhere I can get 2 for less than full price for PC or just wait until it goes on sale for steam or something?

I'm sure there are places to find it cheaper for computer but I would not know where to start. Hopefully some of the PCers can find it for you

It just depends on how many of the side quests you do. It's been a while, but 8 or 9 sounds right.

No, but some things are different. BL2 definitely "smoothed" out the game for the most part, but I kinda preferred the characters from BL1. At least, I preferred the siren and sniper from BL1 to the siren and assassin in BL2.
