Originally a blackpowder cartridge in the late 1800's, to this day the .45 Colt is a formidable round. Launching a 250gr piece of lead at around 850fps will settle the hash of just about anything.

Yeah, it is my favorite caliber. Yeah, I'm a little drunk. And a Glock can't shoot the grandaddy .45 Colt.

This is mine. Loaded hot and used in a modern gun, they're meaner than a .44 Mag.

Not a Glock but do you CC your 45 colt or open carry it?

Yeh you probably just shoot it and carry the trusty Glock

Either way and

I had a ruger Vaquero in .45LC and traded it. I hate myself for getting rid of that sweet gun.

To be honest, I bought it because I wanted a SA pistol. I shoot targets with it and that's it.

Carrying a big bore single action revoler in a fine piece of leather is truly one of life's pleasures for the gun enthusiast. I highly recommend it.

In modern guns, the .45lc can hit damn close to the .44mag

The finest gun I've ever shot was a colt SAA 45lc. Most badass gun I've ever fired.

Learn your history. The .45 Colt helped save the Army's arse against the Moros.

This guy thought alot of it too:
