You NEVER want to be the third out at 3rd base so by not tagging, he was allowed to go all the way down to almost 3rd base if the ball wasn't caught and he could have crawled home.
Regardless, it DOESN'T matter if you are on 3rd or 2nd base in that scenario with 2 outs, he still scores on a base hit.
I disagree with this. I know you don't wanna be the last out at 3rd base but there was no way in hell he was gonna get thrown out. I was there and the ball was hit deep, it was a no brainer to tag up. It wouldn't have even been close.

the kid caught the ball on the warning track flat footed. tyler moore could have walked to 3rd base. anyone who disagrees with him tagging up (or should have tagged up i should say) did NOT see the play.

The only way I can reason it out is that he hasn't played enough this season and he just didn't want to make the wrong decision and have to sit on the bench because of it.

i wonder what will davis is doing on that play as well. is he yelling at him and Moore just ignored him? Or is will just watching the ball himself like he's watching a kite on a lazy day.

I sit right there and Will Davis does not yell to tag up. He shouldn't have to though, if you're playing baseball at LSU, you should know to tag up right there. The guy was obviously gonna catch the ball, it was way deep enough to tag, you just gotta know shite like that.

oh i agree that he should need Davis's instructions on such and easy tag up, but it's also Davis's job to instruct him. basically davis shouldnt take for granted that Moore is going to to know better.
i mean it was 90% moore's fault but Davis takes a little blame as well imo.
