Wolves vs Lion Hounds: Attacks Rising in Montana and Idaho

quote:

When they’d closed about half the distance, they saw seven wolves—five black and two grey—rush the tree from the west. Sadie was so intent on the treed cougar that she never noticed the wolves until one charged in, grabbed her by the neck and shook her for about five seconds.

Seems like these fellas up north need a new strategy. Maybe something similar to what we use down here in the south for hogs.. pits and hounds..

What combo of dogs would you use to combat the wolf attacks on the hounds?

The average male gray wolf weights between 80-99 Lbs.

May need a bigger dog and more than one.

It'd probably take a couple of dogs equal to that size and mean as hell to take a wolf.

In the Roman Coliseum, 3 Mastiffs = 1 Lion in a fight. I would think an Irish Wolf Hound and Pit Bull Combo as well. Those Mongolians with the Eagles were very effective also.

I'm no dog fighter, perhaps an expert like Michael Vick can help.

Isn't there some type of jacked up Asian dog similar to a chow that is mean as hell.

I can't remember the name of the dog.

I would think that any small fuzzy dog would be perfect bait for a wolf.
