It's fair to say Jordan wasn't up to speed. I mean you can't play a month of basketball and boom be ready for the playoffs or better yet be at your best.

By the way, with the Rockets as our topic can we please take a moment to remember Nick Anderson's legendary 4 straight missed FTs in Game 1 of the '95 Finals? Greatest sports feat ever.

And what about the 2nd month of basketball played before they actually lost in the playoffs? His numbers were good, he was back. I actually watched that series. The problem is that team sucked.

The team had to change their style completely once Jordan showed back up. That's a big deal.

What seed were they that year?

The Heat win 3 in a row, Lebron randomly retires, the Thunder were to win 1-2, and Lebron returns to immediately win 3 more. What would history have to say about those championship(s)?

They aren't tarnished, but MJ would've 8-peated if he hadn't retired.

I don't get it. He three-peated twice.

shite, he may have 9-peated if he hadn't retired.

It really is truly a shame he retired.

ETA: First retirement.

People are so dumb Jordan had a 48 point game in the 95 playoffs he was back. The Magic with Horace Grant were better

Jordan had games of 38, 39, and 40 against the Magic, but he obviously had forgotten how to play basketball.

What seed were the Bulls and please comment on how Jordan showing back up for the last 4 weeks of the season completely changed how the Bulls ran their offense.

It proves you really didn't follow the Bulls back then. If he had stayed the Bulls would have lost their core players due to contractual issues from 1995 on...and his knees would have given out sooner.

So the Bulls get the 1994 NBA championship, but that one would cost them the second three peat.

ETA: and the Bulls couldn't afford to stay together after 1998, they would have been RAPED by that Spurs team anyway.
