Not sure if it's been posted here or on the Rant yet, but I searched and didn't see anything. Looks like the Saints are bringing in competition for Hartley. Good for him. LINK

Japer! best kicker we've ever had at LSU imo (other than Browndyke)

I am so ready to get rid of Hartley it isn't even funny. He doesn't belong on an NFL team.

Isn't he like the 6th or 7th most accurate active kicker in the league, statistically?

Either way, if he does well in camp he may find himself on another roster. Chargers Nate Kaeding did retire today.

Two years outta LSU and he's found no place on a NFL roster. He couldn't win a job in the CFL last year. And we're sposed to be excited? Here's hoping- maybe add some exclamation marks to the thread title

This. I thought when he graduated that he would for sure find a team.

Jasper doesn't have the longest kicks but at least he's fricking reliable. Hartley has the same chance to make a 50 yarder as he does a 25.

I don't think this is a knock on Josh. You have 32 spots. Most teams bring in extra kickers to keep there guy on edge and let them know the position is never locked down no matter how good the guy is.

Has he been working a beer truck the past two years? Something has to make the story for him.
