Oliver Queen vs Bruce Wayne (Dark Knight version)

Was thinking about this after watching OQ break down all of the guards in the complex where they held Walter: Hand to hand combat, no weapons...

Seriously? Scruffy don't even know who Oliver Queen is, but no one, and Scruffy means NO ONE fricks with the Dark Knight.

Bruce Wayne would destroy Oliver Queen. Wayne is a highly trained god damn shadow ninja. Queen is just some rich spoiled kid who wrecked on an island and taught himself survival skills and runs around shooting arrows

I was thinking this too as I was trying to draw parallels to their lives.
Both are billionaire heirs from their fathers' fortunes and use that money to support the technology they use to hunt down the criminals of their cities.
Both live as citizens by day and use the nighttime as cover for their activities.
Both have a vendetta against crime in their respective cities.
Both have specialized training and skills: Bruce Wayne in a ninja-esque fashion and Oliver Queen in a kind of para-military/survival way (as was stated in a previous post)
I see this as more of a draw without any toys involved.

I'm afraid this is what it boils down to
Oliver was a great fighter and survivor but he succeeded because he had the money to make cool shite into arrows
Whereas Bruce Wayne was a bad arse ninja who had cool
shite.
I do like green arrows facial hair though

I can see this however I would also say that OQ does more hand to hand combat as he also uses his bow some as a weapon itself (not including the arrows) whereas BW has more gadgets at his disposal.

Bruce Wayne wins this hands down.
He's knows every type of combat known to man and he only has one rule when it comes to fighting, don't kill. Aside from that, he'll break your arms or legs and smash you in the nuts.
He's also one of the most paranoid people ever. He has a backup plan for a backup plan's contingency plan.

True. I just like the Arrow because he has fun with the superhero thing. He isn't quite as tortured as Bats.
Strictly hand to hand wise...Ollie is a metahuman with greater than human speed and agility so...he might have an advantage over Bats sans toys.

From a strickly "arrow universe vs dark knight universe" right now Bruce Wayne wins... that being said, by the time we see oq take down merlyn it'll probably give oq and slight edge.. in my opinion:
Merlyn > ra's - when we are focused ONLY on the two fictional mediums.

Good point. Let's not forget that Malcolm Merlyn was trained in Nanda Parbat. In the DC universe, that is where the Sensai is from who is with the League of Assassins. The League of Assassins which is the group that the League of Shadows in Begins is based on.
ETA: I'd also like to qualify that all of this, as BA said, is purely based on Ollie from Arrow vs Bruce from the Nolan trilogy.

Yeah, the writers have seriously screwed the entire Batman character up with his "godlike" abilities of perception and planning. He's not fricking omniscient but he's pretty close.

That being said, I think Merlyn became The Sensei's equal by the end... and I also believe when OQ finally defeats Merlyn, it'll be much much more decisive than when Bruce beat Ra's.
That being said, I think OQ has at least another season or maybe even 2, before he's on par / or better than Batman from the end of Batman Begins.

From one comic book fan to another, I have a fanfic series recommendation to give you.
It's a crossover series between marvel and DC Comics and it's pretty well done. Each chapter takes at least an hour to read.
