Which was louder? I am especially interested in the opinions of those who were in the same seats or area for both. i was there for the NFC CG and based on what I saw on TV with the block, the pandemonium was more sustained in the NFC CG. I have no idea which was louder, but after Harrtley kicking us to the Super Bowl was the loudest I have ever heard.

I was in the same spot for both and it was pretty insanely loud for both. It's pretty hard to compare IMO. Although I might have to give the edge to the Hartley kick simply bc of its magnitude. I had people around my crying and screaming. It was pretty incredible

I'd think the moment of the kick was louder the whole falcons game was crazy

Cell phone service was dead for 45 minutes after the Hartley kick

Definitely a bigger moment. i hope the crowd noise reflected that. Just saying it felt weird but hearing "and the saints are on their way to the Super Bowl" gave me chills. The most tense game ever

I'd go with Hartley fg by a nose. That was one if the greatest things I ever witnessed in person. Even some bikes fans were in awe of it all. People were standing on top of cars in the middle of the street. Truly unforgettable as long as I live. And yea I fricking cried!!!!

Push.

The Atlanta game was probably the most crowded game ever and was very loud, but the Hartley kick made the place go insane and to me it was louder. I was in the same spot for both.

I would give the noise edge to the FG just because everyone's eyes were on the ball unlike the punt, many people were eyeing Bush and reacted late or were yelling for Deloach to scoop and score before they started cheering.

The block was louder for a second but Hartley was sustained noise and pandemonium. I cried for the kick.

I was in the same spot for both, which is seated parallel with the goaline where they both occurred. I honestly think the Gleason blocked punt was louder. It was just such an emotional charge fresh off the Katrina situation. Hartley's kick was just as epic, but it was more of a celebration, people were speechless etc. I just distinctly remember the noise of Gleason's block, I don't really remember the noise level of Hartley's kick, just the celebration.

Gleason block was way louder IMO. Dome just erupted when it got blocked.
A lot of people around me were just left speechless when Hartleys kick went through.

Interestingly, I have to say one of the loudest moments in the dome for me was the dallas game we lost superbowl year. In the 3rd or 4th when we starting mounting our comeback and it looked like we actually might pull it off; the crowd was as loud as I can ever remember on defense.

Everyone wanted that perfect season to keep going.

Deuce picking up the 1st down to seal the win against the Eagles in the '06 playoffs was pretty fricking loud too

I was in the same seats for both and I'd say Gleason's block. As awesome as the kick and super bowl were, for that falcon's game we were coming off a really, really hard year and just to be back in the dome had an energy I've never felt before or since and when he blocked that punt, well, it was like the building itself exploded.

In same terrace end zone(same end zone for both events ironically) seat for both and I'd say the blocked punt.

Hartley's kick a lot of people just sat down or hugged from joy/exhaustion/unbelieveability etc.

The blocked punt not a single person was sitting down or not yelling.

I've been in the same seat since 2000. Top 5 loudest moments I've experienced:
1. Gleason block
2. Hartley kick
3. Porter INT
4. Deuce first down against Eagles
5. Vikings game, during Reggie's 2nd kick return for a TD

Hartley's kick and the ensuing pandemonium was amazing and one of my favorite experiences ever... but I have to say, IMO, the loudest Dome moment was from that same year. Patriots failed fourth down on Monday Night Football. That was physically painfull and my ears rang the rest of the week.
