Frankly IMO the only failure was gm7 vs spurs while in Nola

Clippers aren't super talented (esp playoff bball) and have zero coaching

Oh, but lebron got shite for not winning a title in fricking cleveland. CP is really good just not a winner.

Lots of fingers to point at other people, which gives him some cover.

The talent wasn't there for two of his Hornet playoff runs, Byron had completely lost the team against Denver the year after their Western Semifinal run,, and his coach in LA is Vinny Del Negro, who is probably one of the worst coaches still employed in the NBA.

If Vinny gets canned and replaced by a respectable coach and the team still underachieves, it becomes harder for CP3 to avoid blame.

22/6/4 2 steals this series on 50% shooting.
20/7/6 3 steals on 46% shooting last year.

Pushed the Lakers and Mavericks shits in while with the Hornets. Was inconsistent but not bad against the Spurs. Was terrible against Denver but he had been playing ridiculous minutes.

to be fair, he caught Dallas while the team was busy revolting against Avery Johnson's massive ego and poor in game coaching.

however, to blame CP3 for his teams failures is dumb.

dude has absolutely carried teams throughout playoffs. In that last playoff series against lakers with the hornets it was like he was playing 1 on 5. The Clippers don't exactly match up well with Memphis in a playoff series.

Chris Paul, the choke artist

quote:

Winner: Chris Paul, Clutch God

What Paul did to Memphis last night, making four of his last five shots,(The only miss was a heave to beat the shot clock after a jump ball.), should be illegal. (So should some of the nutty shots Jamal Crawford made over Jerryd Bayless in the first half, actually.) Paul did this to the Grizzlies in the 2012 playoffs, and this regular season he shot 16-of-33 (48.5 percent) in the last three minutes of games in which the scoring margin was three points or less. Among 66 players who attempted at least 20 such shots, only nine shot a better percentage than Paul, and only one of those (Al Jefferson) did so on as many attempts. The concept of "clutch" is notoriously finicky; a team that comes out as "clutch" under one set of time-and-score parameters might appear mediocre or downright chokey if you play around with the factors. A player who scores in crunch time one season might toss up bricks the next. But Paul has been a consistently above-average clutch player, and his teams have almost annually scored at ridiculously efficient rates, especially given that league-wide efficiency tends to drop on crunch-time possessions. What a player.
