The event is May 17-18 on Grand Isle, and it'll feature a day of sporting-clay shooting followed the next day by a fishing rodeo. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit the Green Beret Foundation and the Navy Seal Foundation.

The cost to participate in Friday's shooting competition is $2 per target, with a minimum of 25 targets. The match will begin at 8 a.m., and shooters can select from any of a batch of shotguns provided by Benelli USA, Brock said.

The sporting-clay field will close at 5 p.m., and participants will gather for a 6 p.m. dinner, with entertainment provided by The Kyle Turley Band. Dinner will be followed by an awards presentation as well as an auction.

Participation in Saturday's fishing rodeo is $25 per person, and the weigh station closes at 3 p.m.
