I took this on the way back to the city of Lima inside the state of Lima in Peru. Made me nauseous to see people living like this.

And our non-air conditioned taxi broke down and we had to stop at this shady arse place. Thought we were about to get raped fo sho.

The indian reservation doesn't look THAT bad. It has a kind of desolate beauty. It certainly isn't as bad as the other two.

Mcdowell county West Virginia is literally the most awful place in the US I have ever been to. The coal mines started shutting down years ago and the economy just crashed and never recovered.

You wouldn't say that if you had to actually deal with the residents of the indian reservation.

That was the best pic I could find and it doesn't represent well. Trailers with the window curtains flying out the windows. Plywood roofs, abandoned cars along they hwy. Yeah, they're THAT bad.

They should go back to living in there traditional homes. They could make bank living their native life style, and charging people to visit.

Just saying, some are lazy and leeches on the tribe. They live in crappy houses, some without even electricity and water.

I live a few minutes from an Indian reservation and it is like night and day driving from Scottsdale and then driving into the bordering Salt River Reservation. You drive from nice yards with landscaping to barren land with stray dogs running around, trash all over the ground and run down houses with 15 old cars parked in front of it.
