Has anyone used these deer hunting? I would like to get one for when I rattle, but i'm not sure you would be able to make out the deer very well with the lack of zoom and what not unless they were right on top of you.

Editing the video is what most people fail to take into account with these things. Unless you have a decent computer, some software, and a fair amount of artistic ability, you're not going to be making videos like the ones in the commercials.

the camera will always take great footage if you have it set up correct
I don't feel that my videos are of great quality yet and I want to keep improving. Its hard taking HOURS of footage and compressing it into a 5min video that will keep peoples attention

when you barely have time to actually get out there, editing video becomes forgotten quite easily.
ill try again with duck season this year coming up. hopefully it will be a smooth operation with my buddy getting one as well.

Looking at one right now to strap to my kids batting helmet.
Don't know that I need the H3 Black - what do you all think about the silver and white?
We do mostly outdoor stuff like kids sports and mix in a little fishing, shooting and beach trip time.
ETA: Can you imagine a 9yo pitcher staring at this?

It isn't that difficult, really..unless you want some professional or semi pro production
GoPro is a good camera for what it is. It isn't a standard vid camera, it's an action cam. There are much much better options out there if you are just looking for a video camera to film. If you are looking for action stuff, it's a good camera at a good price.
This guy has a contour and mounts it to his airplane, wing or tail. Pretty cool stuff
