Call S&W directly and order them. They will tell you that they are on backorder and cannot give you an ETA.

I ordered two 25rd mags by calling S&W directly on 4/10/13. Just got home from work and to my surprise there were two 25rd mags waiting for me in my mailbox. 19 day turnaround for mags that were on "death backorder". Not bad. Not bad at all!

What's odd is I never received an order confirmation or shipping notification from S&W, like I was told I would. I'm not even sure if my credit card was ever charged. (Edit to add: Just double checked and I was billed on 4/24/13)

Another oddity... One of the mags didn't come with a load assist button. I double checked and they're both 25rd mags. Both have the red followers and neither of them stop after loading only 10 rounds into them.

Call Smith & Wesson:

My order total was $43.68 for 2 including shipping. So, less than $20ea before shipping.

I was about to build a .22 upper for my AR, but I may just buy one of these instead

I know you're the AR expert around here but I've heard that 22 uppers on a standard AR lowers are sometimes troublesome. Usually it's all about the fit of the magazine.

Lucky bastard. I've got five 25rd mags now. 1 original that came with it. Two 10rd "long" mags that I modified to accept 25rd. And these 2 that came today. I think 5 mags is enough for me.

You are absolutely correct. I've found a combination that works, though.

For the price, the 15-22 does seem pretty sweet

I bought 2 of the long ten round and just knocked the pin out with a screwdriver. Took two minutes per clipazine.

Ammotogo has plinker tactical 35 round mags for $25. I have 2. They work fine.

Plinker Tactical 35 Round Mag

Invest the $8 in the
load assist handle. You can load without it but its really tough past about 20.

Not a bad price. I don't care for those due to their extended length. Can't shoot them from a benthtop unless you have a 2ft bi-pod.
