This should prove interesting, hope she's not the first person killed in the show.

I didn't know that was the theme

She's soooo fat that she's distracting on screen. There are a million fat black ladies you can cast without going the morbidly obese route

The season is called "AHS: Coven" and they have said it takes place in New Orleans but we don't know a lot of about it yet...I did see Kathy Bates was also signed on for a role this season...

Per Wiki:
"A coven or covan is a gathering of witches. The word derives from a word found in 1300 in the Old French "covenant" meaning an agreement from the Latin "convenire" meaning "to agree", and so from that to a late medieval Scots word (circa 1500) meaning a gathering of any kind, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. The Latin root word convenire also means to come together or to gather, which also gave rise to the English word convene and to "convent". The first recorded use of "coven" as applied to an order of witches comes much later, from 1662 in the witch-trial of Isobel Gowdie, which describes a coven of 13 members."

Series executive producers and co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have stated that, as with the second season, "many actors" will return for the third season in different roles. Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson have all been confirmed to return. Murphy added that Lange will portray a "real glamour-cat lady." Taissa Farmiga, who played a leading role in the first season, will co-star as a character that is involved in a prominent romance during the third season. Lily Rabe has also been cast as a lead in the third installment and Frances Conroy has signed on for the season in an unknown role. Oscar-winning actress Kathy Bates has also been cast to co-star in the third season. She will portray a woman who, at the start, is Lange's character's best friend, but will become her worst enemy. Murphy has stated that Bates' character will be "five times worse than [her] Misery character" and is also inspired by a "true event"....hoping for Madame Delphine LaLaurie

Damn, those names all sound alike to me. My first thought was of Gbenga Akinnagbe making zombies, and I was like "Oh yeah!" and then I caught on to what you meant by "BIG news", and I was like, "Ohhhhh."

Not sure what to think of Precious being hired. Definitely approve the Kathy Bates casting though.

I am completely unimpressed with the Precious addition. Hopefully her role is short....and I mean really short.

I watched the first season of AHS and I really enjoyed it.

I only watched the first couple of episodes of season 2 and it didn't grab me like season 1, so I stopped.

How does season 2 compare to season 1 quality-wise? Should I give it another shot?

Season 2 is not as good as season 1 but it had the most bat crazy shite happen that I've ever seen in a single season of tv. It's definitely worth the watch.
