U2 is just plain terrible. Calling themselves the biggest band in the world is the biggest lie.
The Foo Fighters are almost as bad as bands like Hinder, Nickleback etc. Dave Grohl is a cool arse dude though.
Nirvana is meh and Kurt Cobain was annoying.

Three more because I'm bored in class:
1. Ziggy Stardust is Bowie's third best album
2. 77-82 is the most inventive 5 years of music of the last century, by a very wide margin
3. Mr Bungle is the most talented band maybe of all time

Other than Pink Floyd, Ween is better than every band/musician mentioned in this thread.

At one point it was pretty much true... They arent my favorite, but I like their early output... spotty at best the past 20 years or so...

The radio format of "classic rock" is one of the worst things to ever happen to pop music, and is pretty much a signpost of when the music industry stagnated.
The doors would've been a good band if they never had Jim Morrison as a frontman. He ruins a talented collection of musicians with his bad high school poetry.
I hate to be a "back in my day" guy, but geez... so many bands today could not have hacked it in the 80s and 90s. They can't play live for shite, and that's how bands made their bones.
