None started? Can't believe this.

I thought it was good, though they dropped the Britain storyline seemingly and jumped into this war with the Swedish king storyline.

It's going to be a long wait for season 2.

historically accurate. It was years and years before he returned to Britain.
I know they don't follow history closely, but he does get a new wife who will bear him sons, while Largetha stays in Norway and leads there. At one point they team up together against a foe.

Then later he goes on to Britain and France. Later dies in Britain, and his sons lead the great heathen army into Britain in the later ninth century.

History channel is of course making things up and stretching stories out, but they are doing a good job of presenting Viking life.

Oh and I was speaking about the show's plotting, not the historical accuracy or not.

I don't know that they knew they would be picked up for a second season, so they tried to cover a lot of ground in Ragnar's legend.

I have a feeling they'll be sailing west. If you know how Ragnar dies, you know they hinted at it big time in the earlier episodes, so I think they'll pick that back up. It's no longer raiding season in the show's storyline, as well, so I think that had something to do with it.

Digging this show and glad they picked it up for Season 2. I can't tell if I think Travis Fimmel is really good as Ragnar or not, though. Is it a character quirk that he's laughing/smiling all the time, or is it that Fimmel can't contain his giddiness?

ETA: Had no idea you can watch full episodes on IMDB.

I can tell ragnar's wife is going to become one of those melodramatic types that gets on my nerves bad. Which is funny because I loved her 4 or 5 episodes ago. She was a sexy badass

yeah, it was alright. This show started out with a bang when they were raiding to the west, then slowed down after Ragnar became earl.

Should be good next season to see Ragnar vs. Rollo. And Lagertha is gonna be pissed

I think this as well. I am on the fence about it. On one hand, its kinda bad-arse in a creepy, psychotic way. On the other hand, he looks like a fool sometimes.

What's up with Flipo's eyes? Was he supposed to be a priest?

I think its awesome. It just exudes confidence. He knows he is always one step ahead.

Aslaug is crazy hot. The actress name is Alyssa Sutherland and she is a model that yes has done some "artsy" shoots.(aka run to google)

This episode pissed me off because they added so much information and new story arcs.I can't wait for next season. Hopefully they will get a bigger budget.

I dont mind that History is taking some historical freedoms. What we know about Ragnar Lodbrok is mostly from oral histories written years and years after his death and really isnt that reliable.

Hopefully Vikings will last long enough to see Ragnar's sons, Bjorn Ironside, Ivar the Boneless and I forget the third wreck shop in England with the great heathen army.

Floki is obviously as knowledgeable about the Aesir as they come but I don't think thats why. I think the face paint/eye shadow stuff is just the Viking way. They used to paint their faces to resemble wolves or demons. Plus it just looks cool.

Thinking about it he kind of reminds me of Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden. Just as calculating, cool and confident albeit a little more human.

I think Floki is very religious, which is part of why he paints his eyes. He always talks about the history of the gods and why Odin or Thor or whoever is mad.

GOOD! I was mad when he cheated on his wife. She is awesome, and does not deserve to be cheated on.

One question I have is, why is he so anxious about getting a son? He already has one!

Anyway, cannot believe the next season is not until 2014. How could they leave me hanging like this?!

Apparently Odin told him that he would have many sons. He is trying fulfill his destiny.

Ragnar has some of the most famous sons in viking history.

Even though I liked Lagaertha, Ragnar is a viking earl around 900 AD. It would be weird for him not to have multiple women.

WiR just further proving she is the coolest girl around by watching Vikings
