Need some help. I think it's time for a new driver. With all the advancements with adjustable drivers, should I still go get fitted? My brother in law went to Rob Noel and got fitted and gained about 50 yards, but I wonder if I could just buy and adjustable driver and play around with the settings. What say you?

He was a short hitter to begin with but improved a lot in the last year or so. That 50 yards got him to the 250- 260 range. He's not quite Bubba long

I'm not looking to gain 50 yards, but I'm a high ball hitter and probably and giving up some distance with a 10.5 degree driver.

Getting fitted is mostly about tweaking the equipment to provide the optimum launch angle and spin rate for your swing. You should do it, but don't expect huge distance increases. If the fitting isn't taking into account the shaft, then it is just half assing it. The shaft is probably the most important thing to be fitted to a player as it relates to the driver, IMO.

Yeah thats what I've heard. I know I need a stiff flex but i know they are all different. I was amazed at how far he was hitting it yesterday. He probably gained 10-15 yards throughout the bag, but the difference in driver distance was amazing.

Clubs that arent fit to you/for you is like buying the wrong size shoes. Two ways to get better Lessons, proper clubs.

He does, but Leitz is better. He will always be able to tell you why

Depends on what you prefer. From what I've seen from Leitz, he's too technical for me
