He did Hossa pretty dirty in the playoffs last year, but I think they said last night he didn't have very many penalty minutes this season. I only saw the hit when it happened but it looked like shoulder to shoulder, idk.

He's far from a good guy, I'm not defending his character or anything like that. I just don't know how Abdelkader jumps off the ice and clocks a dude in the head with his shoulder and only gets 2 games.

Meh, the primary point of contact on Abdelkader's hit was Lydman's shoulder. He got the suspension for leaving his feet.

This game is basically target practice for the Hawks and the Wings struggling to clear the puck. Now I know how it was when other teams had to deal with the Russian Five possessing the puck the whole game. Detroit will be lucky to win a game.
